Distinguished for its large lavender-blue flowers and compact bushy habit. A long-bloomer, this cutie is small enough to nestle into almost any sunny garden. Perovskia General Information

Perovskia are graceful aromatic shrubs with an open habit. Long spikes of silvery-blue flowers accent its complementary silver-gray foliage. Flowers almost two months from the summer into the fall. Shrub-size, semi-woody plants for full sun. Drought tolerant. Avoid too moist (wet feet). Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Perovskia Plant Care

Prefers somewhat dry soil with good drainage. Can be divided every 4-6 years in spring or fall. Offsets from side of clump can be dug and transplanted. Should not be cut back hard in the fall, leaving some stem buds for next year's growth. Clean up old foliage and stems in spring.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
