You have to feel it to believe it! Suitably named; the puckered, cupped foliage has texture as thick and corrugated as a rhino’s skin. Wide-blue margins surround narrow golden-green slashes that brighten to cream. White flowers in summer. Durable with incredible slug resistance!
Hosta Rhino Hide is described in the American Hosta Society Journal as “thick and unusual”. Exhibits more sun tolerance than many other Hosta, though partial shade is still best. Hosta thrive in shade, even in competition with tree roots, hurray! It is hard to find a perennial garden that won’t benefit from incorporating some Hosta.
