Euonymus General Information

Euonymus are good plants for a difficult spot - even dry shade. A great weed-smothering plant that aids in erosion control. Please plant responsibly if near open woodlands, as E. fortunei can get out of hand in a natural setting. This Euonymus is restricted from Indiana. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Euonymus Plant Care

Tolerant of most soils except extremely wet. Prefers a dry to moderate well-drained soil. Can be pruned anytime, but preferably in the spring to keep a desired shape or trained to climb as a vine if given support. Spreads along ground, rooting as it goes. Rooted stems can be dug and transplanted. To accelerate growth, fertilize in early spring with a granular fertilizer formulated for trees and shrubs.
