Lavish Layers of Petals
As the name suggests, this double-flowering Windflower resembles a Peony. Soft-rose pink petals progress to white tips and some petals show just a hint of green. Flaunting its jam-packed petals above ferny foliage, it is long blooming and naturalizes to create a lush spring underplanting. Foliage does go dormant after flowering. The lush blossoms of Anemone Peony Red/White are stunning in cut-flower arrangements.

Anemone General Information

Windflowers are ideal planted in large drifts under spring flowering trees. Forms a mat-like ground cover in spring, but does go dormant after flowering.

Anemone Plant Care

Soak tubers in water overnight before planting. Most Anemones will flower for three to four weeks. Once the flowers have faded, let the foliage remain to build up energy for next year's flowers. Foliage will go dormant shortly after flowering and can be cut back after it yellows. Hardy, adaptable. Grows well in moist, but well drained soil, acid or alkaline. Plant 2" inches deep and 4" inches apart.
