Maroon stems glow within olive-green foliage. Pink flowers in late summer.

Maroon stems absolutely glow from within the olive-green serrated foliage. Its mounding habit supports pink flowers late summer to early fall. You may wish to order at least a double of this enticing Stonecrop. Cheers!

Stonecrop provides beautiful low-care summer and fall color. Let dried flower heads remain to provide nice winter interest and provide food for the birds. Sedum store water in their thick succulent leaves which enables them to be extremely drought tolerant. Sedum Double Martini is low maintenance and its blossoms provide sweet nectar to attract bees, butterflies and moths.

Sedum General Information

Sedum are grown for their distinctive fleshy foliage. They are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes - upright and groundcovers. A reliable, hardy and easy-to-grow perennial. Star-shaped flowers are usually in clusters or sprays that often change color throughout their bloom time. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Sedum Plant Care

Sedum prefer full sun and average to poor well-drained soil. Can be divided in spring. No need to deadhead during the growing season. Cut back in early spring, as new growth will come from the ground, first appearing as little nuggets pushing up through the soil. Pinch back once during early summer if height control is desired.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
